Brendan Dinesh was born at Westmead Hospital, Sydney on the 11th of January 2011. He is a Year 7 high school student at Parramatta Marist High School and did primary at St Anthonys Primary School. He plays for Winston Hills Cricket Club currently and started playing cricket when he was 9 years old.
Last season, his club won the PDCA premiership in U12 Div 1. Brendan is currently a representative player for the Parramatta U 13 Div 2 Squad, making it three consecutive years of representative cricket. He is a Chinaman (left arm wrist spinner) and an aggressive top-order batsman.
Apart from cricket, Brendan plays soccer for the Pendle Hill Football Club. He is also interested in acting, swimming, and tennis. In the academic field, Brendan is interested in Maths, Mechanical Engineering, and Science. In Brendan’s free time, he likes to draw art, make YouTube videos with his brother, and help his mom cook different dishes. He is the son of Dinesh Sivarajah and Genita Dinesh. His father is an old boy of St John’s College, Jaffna. Brendan's younger brother, Adrian, is also a great cricketer who plays for Winston Hills club. Adrian will be touring with Brendan and will be able to play a few games in Sri Lanka.
Brendan is the grandson of the Late Ponniah Sivarajah, a teacher at St John’s College, Jaffna. It is an honour to play against his dad’s old school. Brendan is very much looking forward to playing in Sri Lanka.
